What is a Portrait Party?

You invite your friends and family members to your home for a professional portrait session. I will photograph "mini" sessions with each guest (head & shoulder shots), with no session fee or minimum order. Portrait Parties are great for birthdays or sleepovers or any occasion. I will provide you with invitations, scheduling and information sheets. You will also receive a $300 credit for the party to be applied towards prints.

Road Trip

During Easter week, I went on a road trip along with my fabulous boyfriend, Mikko. We drove to San Luis Obispo and spent our first night @ the unique Madonna Inn http://www.madonnainn.com/ and stayed in one of the rock rooms. I loved the bathroom with it awesome rock shower. This was our first getaway as a couple and the Madonna Inn was steeped full of romance. We started out with champagne in our room, then dinner at the over-the-top steakhouse and dancing. It was very memorable. The next day we continued on to Hearst Castle. I had not been in years; it was a real treat to tour it again.

This was Mikko’s first time to drive along Coast Highway, Big Sur to San Francisco so we stopped along the way to savior the many vistas. Then we arrived in San Francisco which has special meaning to me as I was born there. We stayed there for 3 days. Since I have been many times, and Mikko only once, I took over as the tour guide. We walked across the Golden Gate Bridge twice, and of course I had to take him to Muir Woods where we hiked amongst the redwoods breathing in the freshest air

We spent our days and nights exploring the city by the bay, and enjoying each other company. It was just the most special getaway because I shared it with someone that means so much to me.

Nostalgic Childhood - Gone Fishing

This is my second time photographing this adorable little boy. His mother is a writer, and last October she asked me to do the photography for an article she was writing for OC Kids. He was one of our models. He is very sweet in nature and a pleasure to photograph. This shoot is part of my nostalgic children portraiture. He was thrilled to get his hands on a fishing rod. He looks like he is ready to catch the big one!

The last three years, I have called Aliso Viejo home. I love living here, this city has so many wonderful things to offer. Soka University with its jazz nights, incredible grounds that look like you're in Tuscany, the Renaissance Clubsport Hotel with fabulous variety of classes, like Yoga tone, Brazilian Boot Camp, etc. they even have a spa for pampering me and a great restaurant and it is a hotel, too! We have a gorgeous Country Club that is opened to the public for golfing and other amenities. We are going to have a Performing Art Center. I'm a member of the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce. I get to meet so many incredible people in my community and one guy that stands out is Doug Healy who decided that our teens needed a place to hang out. South County Teen Center http://www.scteencenter.com/ provides a variety of supportive programs, including before and after school activities, that help young teens develop strength of character a sense of community, and build a voice. This Monday, March 30th will be their first Annual Golf Classic at the Aliso Viejo Golf course. I'm proud to be apart of this special event providing the photography.

Nostalgic Portraits of Children

This lovely photo shoot is the start of my new look for my children photography. Soft and sweet images of little nostalgic images reminiscent of days gone by, fairies and angels, little athletes and sports heroes, cowboys and pilots. Children love to immerse themselves into the magical experiences of dress up and parents love the amazing portraits created. Please schedule early because these sessions are booking quickly.

Babyhood

Lots of my Mothers are having their babies so I'm busy photographing newborns. It is such a pleasure after photographing the pregnancy to come back and see the baby. Lots of baby boys. In the last two weeks, I have photographed three baby boys!! This is baby Ethan. I had photographed his Mom and Dad back in January (See blog entry....January 7, 2009). I'm in the middle of post-production from that shoot. I just love this image of Ethan and his Mother so much. It is so sweet and tender. I have so many more post production to work on plus two shoots this weekend. Lots of juggling. Will try to blog more soon.

Baby Natalie

I may have posted this news in one of my blogs that my photography was going to be featured @ Beach Cities Midwifery/Women' Health Center http://www.beachcitiesmidwifery.com/ opening up in Laguna Hills in January. They did open up and they have seven of my images on their walls. Plus they have been giving out my packages to expectant Moms.

The first baby was born at the new center on January 31st, a baby girl, Natalie. This past Friday, I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable baby at her home.

I had gotten a tag printed up many months ago with “Special Delivery” on it. Last month, I found the perfect basket to use with it. My vision finally came together. That is a good feeling.

I also put Natalie in a bowl. She will never be this small again. Natalie was a real trooper letting me put her in a basket and a bowl!! She is on my Baby Plan, my next shoot with Natalie will be during her seventh month.
