In Japan, on the 100th day after a child's birth, a small feast is prepared to promote a healthy appetite through the child’s life. Jun’s family was having that celebration the day I did the shoot. It was going to be later that evening with Jun’s Grandparents but they wanted me to captured this milestone. Jun looked so cute in his kimono.
It was a wonderful shoot; Jun was in a happy mood. Such a sweet baby!
One of the things I love about my job is the wonderful people I meet along my journey as a photographer, like Cameron. I met his Mother, Julie, through the South County Chamber of Commerce. When it came time to take some professional photographs of Cameron, Julie called me. I had met Cameron prior to our shoot, and I was impressed by his easy manner around adults. During the shoot, he was so comfortable in front of the camera. We did the shoot at the park to take advantage of the many different backdrops. I love photographing outside and using natural light.
This photo shoot was so much fun. Baby Koa was very alert, not fussy and very photogenic. We listened to music during our shoot and Koa’s Mom, Tara, had made all this food for us to snack on. I was extremely grateful as I had not eaten much that day. I got some fab photographs of their dog, Diamond, with baby Koa. He was so loving to the baby. 
Katie is an event planner and part owner of Simply Exquisite Events, http://www.simply-exquisite-events.com/. We met doing an event for the Renaissance, and I immediately liked Katie. I was very excited to photograph her newborn, adorable Gavin. After Katie saw the proofs from the shoot she wrote, "OMG...I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, LOVE THE PICTURES!! YOU ARE AN AMAZING PHOTOGRAPHER, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR CAPTURING SUCH AN AMAZING TIME IN OUR LIVES!! YOU ARE THE BEST!" That made my day.
