What a sweet & loving family with twins! The children were so adorable at the beach. I love this portrait above that during post production I put a filter on the image to give a dreamy effect. The Mother loved it, too and that is going to be their wall portrait.

These last couple of months, I have been busy giving my website a makeover. So many changes in technology since I last changed my site, I-Pad, Smartphones & social networks.... that I needed to get in this decade so my potential clients can have options to view my site. I now have a link to an I-pad friendly site as well as Smartphone, Facebook & Twitter. It is Prom Season! What fun to do a photo shoot with beautiful Alecia @ Soka University in Aliso Viejo. I'm over-hauling my entire web & senior/grads will have their own web site. I can wait to unveil my new look.
I had the pleasure of photograhing Alecia last year, too for her senior portraits. See blog entry September 2010. We had two locations, urban & beach.
Love this image of Baby Siani! What a great expression on her face. I photographed her parents last summer for the maternity. This is Siani's first session & she was in such a happy mood during our shoot.
I get asked time and again for little baby girl to use this rose rug. Everybody loves this prop!
I have this amazing vendor that I use for frames, Wild Sorbet. The frames are hip, fun & unique. What is really awesome is their design service for wall groupings. I go out to my client’s home & take measures and photographs of the wall that their wall grouping will go on. Wild Sorbet designs two groups ideas with the images I took in their frames and even places it on the client’s wall so they can visualize how it will look. The feedback has been fabulous. My clients are loving it. They’re amazed. The design cost is $20. Such a deal! If my clients orders the grouping then I waive the fee. Every time, my clients see their designs, they want it. Thank you Wild Sorbet for making my art looks so great!
A fun shoot for a guy with a cool name... Digger! He needed some photos for a piece that will be in Monster Magazine. Digger is in the movie business. These are two of my favorite images from the shoot.
I do photograph a lot of families that are coming to California on vacation, and need a family photographer at our beaches. I just photographed a wonderful family from Canada.
I came across Kathryn's website & contacted her. From the first e-mail response from Kathryn, I knew that I had to work with her! She was prompt with responses to any questions I had, she was great with advice on how optimize the photo shoot, and she introduced us to a beautiful & secluded beach in Laguna Beach, California.
There was no point in time that I doubted my decision to work with Kathryn, & traveling down from Alberta & British Columbia (Canada), you would think I would have some concerns but Kathryn checked in with me when she said she was going to, re-confirmed everything prior to us departing on our vacation, and was more than ready to work with all of us when we arrived.
Once I met with Kathryn all my confidences in her only increased. She was able to shoot solo children, siblings, individual families as well as large families with ease (she even brought candy for the children).
The photos speak for themselves... I couldn't be more pleased with the results of our family photos!!
