Baby Jack

This is my second time photographing Jack. I love his red hair and those vibrant blue eyes that sparkle. It was a great shoot. Jack had just woken up from his nap and was in a very good mood. He has the greatest Mom and Grandmother. They're always so wonderful to me.

Ella

Ella is one year old, and she was a referral from one of my clients. I love referral! I have a referral program, one free 10x13, a $129 value, or one smaller portrait with a new session.

In post production, I pick my favorite images from the shoot & get creative. I knew the moment, I saw the image of Ella in the tutu with her head turned that it was perfection. The image by itself was great but I knew it could be something more. I backed off the color and put a frame around, giving it a vintage look. I submitted this image in the contest to win $5,000 (see March 3rd blog entry), plus I will be entering it in to Professional Photographers of America's yearly contest, it could be on their October issue front cover if it wins.

Violette

My Grandmother's name is Violet so it was nice to have a client that is going to name her baby girl Violette. From the English word violet for the purple flower, ultimately derived from Latin viola. It was common in Scotland from the 16th century, and it came into general use as an English given name during the 19th century. I love tidbits like that. In honor of Baby Violette, purple was a big influence in her maternity shoot. Her Mom and Dad were a lot of fun to work together creating these images.

Bella Cianna

I love photographing baby girls with flowers. The results are always so cute. Cianna is three months old and so precious. She is on my baby plan, so her next shoot will be @ seven months. I really enjoy seeing the changes through-out a baby's first year. It very rewarding to capture this fleeting moment.
