High School Senior Photography - Laguna Beach

I love photographing High School Seniors. They're so optimistic and not jaded about life. I want them to have fun and feel special during their shoot. I like photographing outdoors especially at Laguna Beach. There are so many incredible backdrops with the downtown area and the beach.

This image is being used for her year book photo. I think it wonderful that seniors are not stuck anymore using the school photos with those bad backgrounds.

I photographed this lovely family a week ago @ Emerald Bay in Laguna Beach. The Grandmother contacted me a month ago about their shoot as her Grand-daughter was going to be visiting from Reno. She wanted to capture this moment with photography. Her Grand-daughter is the apple of her eye. I love this images of her, very classic pose & the lighting is beautiful capturing the essence of this little girl.

Sweet couple, first baby! A baby boy that will be born next month. They're on my baby plan so I will capture his first year. I just ordered some new props for baby boys that I will be using at his newborn shoot. Can't wait.

Family Photography - Moment to Memory

This is my fourth photo shoot with adorable Cianna. One of the best things about being a portrait artist is that I get to watch these kids grow up. It’s like watching a caterpillar turn in to a beautiful butterfly. I’m in awe at the many changes.

Cianna was in my baby video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67uHLYSG7SA along with Cianna' Mommy. It has almost been a year since we did the video and you can see the changes in Cianna. Children are only tiny for a VERY short time so I like to focus on preserving parent’s memories of their child before they grow up. . . it happens sooner than you know!

I love photographing parent's & the children feet together because it help establish a perspective, and size. Cianna's feet will never be this tiny ever again.

You can see the love in Cianna's Mommy's face as she looks with admiration at her husband. A magical moment.

We did several outfit changes during the shoot for Cianna. Cianna's Mommy had some favorite clothes that she wanted in the photographs.

Kathryn & Mikko - Couple Photography

Once in awhile it is good for the photographer to be in front of the camera. I was over-due. I had been wanting couple photographs of me and the love of my life, Mikko, forever. I picked my favorite photographer, Ben Craig to photograph us. I have worked with Ben on so many weddings and love his style. I planned out the shoot but Ben was the artist in capturing my vision which was to show how much Mikko and I love each other. Thank you Ben!!

I absolutely adore feet shots. I had scouted our location, The Camp & The Lab and knew about these stairs & planned that we would do our feets next to You and Me. I made sure we had stylish shoes, too! This image is going on the cover of our album.

One of my favorite images. I have it on my desk next to my computer. Also, it is in a wall grouping on our living room wall. It shows my pure happiness with Mikko. He is an amazing man and I'm blessed to be spending the rest of my life with him.

We did this shoot back in April on a very cold day the above image was one of the last that Ben took. I was so cold but worth it. That is what I love about photography because you can really tell a story. This is my story with my wonderful man.

Couple Portrait - Dana Point

I backlit the above image and asked him to lift up his wife creating a more soft and tender moment.

They got married in early June at City Hall but still wanted to document this special time in their life with photographs. They asked me to do the shoot at the beach where he proposed.

I asked the guy to look at his wife adoringly and show how much he loves her at the same time having her look directly into the camera.

I like creating a fun and intimate photographs that the couple will treasure forever.

Pretty in Pink - Baby & Children Photography

It is always fun to have a new background to try out. This one is called blush which is perfect for girls. I could not resist testing it out on this shoot with two sisters. They were such angels.

What a sweet & loving family with twins! The children were so adorable at the beach. I love this portrait above that during post production I put a filter on the image to give a dreamy effect. The Mother loved it, too and that is going to be their wall portrait.

I like when Mom's bring props like these suckers.

These last couple of months, I have been busy giving my website a makeover. So many changes in technology since I last changed my site, I-Pad, Smartphones & social networks.... that I needed to get in this decade so my potential clients can have options to view my site. I now have a link to an I-pad friendly site as well as Smartphone, Facebook & Twitter. Alecia - Prom Dress!!

It is Prom Season! What fun to do a photo shoot with beautiful Alecia @ Soka University in Aliso Viejo. I'm over-hauling my entire web & senior/grads will have their own web site. I can wait to unveil my new look.

I have been loving using furniture outdoors. I picked up this green chair @ World's Market & have used it in three shoots. The table & chair are from my home & I just added it in to give the image more punch.

I had the pleasure of photograhing Alecia last year, too for her senior portraits. See blog entry September 2010. We had two locations, urban & beach.

Love this image of Baby Siani! What a great expression on her face. I photographed her parents last summer for the maternity. This is Siani's first session & she was in such a happy mood during our shoot.

I have this amazing vendor that I use for frames, Wild Sorbet. The frames are hip, fun & unique. What is really awesome is their design service for wall groupings. I go out to my client’s home & take measures and photographs of the wall that their wall grouping will go on. Wild Sorbet designs two groups ideas with the images I took in their frames and even places it on the client’s wall so they can visualize how it will look. The feedback has been fabulous. My clients are loving it. They’re amazed. The design cost is $20. Such a deal! If my clients orders the grouping then I waive the fee. Every time, my clients see their designs, they want it. Thank you Wild Sorbet for making my art looks so great!

Destination Clients - People that vacation in our area!

I do photograph a lot of families that are coming to California on vacation, and need a family photographer at our beaches. I just photographed a wonderful family from Canada.

She wrote me such a lovely reference, "I had been planning a vacation to Anaheim, California for my entire family for nearly a year. When I say entire family I mean just that, my immediate family has 10 adults & 5 young children & my husband's immediate family consist of 5 adults. I knew that I needed an opportunity for family photos as we had not been together in years. We were looking for a photographer to photograph the two large groups as well as all the sub families & children.

I came across Kathryn's website & contacted her. From the first e-mail response from Kathryn, I knew that I had to work with her! She was prompt with responses to any questions I had, she was great with advice on how optimize the photo shoot, and she introduced us to a beautiful & secluded beach in Laguna Beach, California.

There was no point in time that I doubted my decision to work with Kathryn, & traveling down from Alberta & British Columbia (Canada), you would think I would have some concerns but Kathryn checked in with me when she said she was going to, re-confirmed everything prior to us departing on our vacation, and was more than ready to work with all of us when we arrived.

Once I met with Kathryn all my confidences in her only increased. She was able to shoot solo children, siblings, individual families as well as large families with ease (she even brought candy for the children).

At the end of the shoot when the sun was setting & all of the children were soaked from head to toe from playing in the water, she was even able to get a beautiful family portrait that I am looking forward to proudly displaying on my wall.

The photos speak for themselves... I couldn't be more pleased with the results of our family photos!!

I have been photographing Jack since 2009 when he was a baby. I have gotten to know his family really well. The best part of my job are the amazing people I meet. This image of Jack holding his Mother & Grandmother's hand is one of my favorites.

I love it when there is a child involved in the maternity shoot. This is Ruby @ age two waiting to become a big sister. I like to focus in on the child and put everybody's hands on the belly.

Sweet Pea - Baby Photography

Natured inspired. Two different babies photographed within two weeks of each other. Mother saw the baby with the hat online & asked me to do the same photo for her. Not knowing at the time that baby was one of her high school friend's baby. Only afterwards did she discover that they had both hired me. Small world! We did have the sweet pea hat on her baby, Beck August (awesome name) but he did not like the hat. You can try to duplicate shoots but a baby has a different agenda & you go with their whims. Both really cute!

High School Senior & Family Holiday Portrait

Last year, I had a promotional card on a couple and their two dogs. I was very flattered to discover a woman held on to that card for a whole year because she loved that image so much and wanted me to duplicate it with her daughters & their dogs. We got together one fine Sunday afternoon to do a photo shoot for her daughter's high school senior portraits & a family portrait for their holiday cards. Here are some of my favorites.

This is the image that was duplicated. Very cute dogs. The dogs were the stars of the show as many people stopped to pet them.

Did a recent shoot of Jack & Dolce, two rescue dogs who now live a comfy life in Laguna Beach. Sweet labs that are now part of a nice family. Jack was very abused before and still has scars on his body. It is wonderful when people adopt rescued pets.

One Year Later

High School Seniors - Alecia

I love photographing milestones and High School Senior Portraits are so much fun. It is so nice to see a young person excited about their future. They have so many possibilities. Alecia and her Mom met me for a consultation which really helps me in planning a photo session. She surfs so I wanted to incorporate her love of surfing in to some of the photos. We decided to do a combination of urban & beach. Alecia's Mother wrote to me after viewing the proofs, "There are so many beautiful shots".

I love using brick walls & colored walls for fab backdrops. Hand placement is so important in photographs. I really work on creating a different look. I encourage the seniors to bring favorite jewelry and clothes. Alecia had 3 wardrobe changes.

One of my favorite images of Cianna. I had these long strand pearls, flower headband and Cianna's Mother, Jane brought Cianna's vest & pearl bracelet for the shoot. A very chic baby!

I love when Mothers bring in things that belong to the baby like these angel wings, tutu and headband. I do have lots of tutus, decorative headbands but it is more special if these are part of the baby's life.

Weddings - Christie & R.J.

Ben (my biz partner for weddings) and I were hired by Christie & R.J. in the fall of 2008 to photograph their wedding in 2010. We photographed their engagement in the summer of 2009. Weddings take a lot of planning from start to finish. Here are some of my favorite images from Christie & R.J's wedding.

I love the Bride getting ready. It's so special.

One of my favorite images of Christie. She got ready at an Aunt's home in Laguna Beach. They had the most amazing staircase.

Ben took all the photos of the Groom while I did all the Bride's photos. Love this image of R.J. very GQ.

Beautiful grounds at the church. The light was very soft which is perfect for wedding photos.

One of my favorites that Ben took! Taken low to the ground. I turned it to black and white.

Christie & R.J. got married in Laguna Beach @ St. Catherine of Siena Church. We went the week of the wedding to check out the light. When I was standing in front of the church, I knew we had to take a photograph of them on the balcony.

Great Image of the Bride sitting in a classic Buick! I put a special filter on it to make the photo more dreamy.

We had about 15 minutes to take these photos at Aliso Beach Park in South Laguna.

Children Photography - Danica

I had such a delightful time photographing beautiful & very sweet Danica. Her parents were so wonderful and helpful during the shoot. They loved the photographs I took of Danica. The above image is one of my favorites from the shoot. Her Mother ordered a wall portrait of this image. Danica’s Mother passed along a very nice compliment, “When I took Danica’s big picture to have it framed on Saturday, the woman who works at Aaron Brothers (and who apparently has worked there for quite some time) said she was really impressed with your portraits. She said she kind of measures a photographer by what she can do with a child and she thought the photographs were beautiful”.

I always find out what the child is wearing. I knew Danica would have a white dress so I brought some angels wings for her shoot. Danica's mother, ordered the above for her desk because Danica is her little angel.

Stunning .....Laguna Beach

Laguna Beach is my favorite place to photograph my beach shoots. I used to live in Laguna near Victoria Beach for three years. I have some of the best memories, listening to the sound of the surf as I would fall asleep, longs walks, picnics, fab sunsets. I'm always happy to spend time there. This series of photos are a Mother and daughter. It was a fun shoot. The Mother is vibrant and very young. Lovely light, too! A lit bit over cast, nice soft box.

There are four beaches in Laguna I shoot on. This is one of my favorites because of the wooden stairs. They're the perfect backdrop. Looks really great when the client wears white.

One of my favorites. Like the composition. I did pose her for this one. I wanted a relax look that looked candid.

One of the client's favorite. The Mother wrote to me about this image, I think the shot of Hailey and I walking away from you is one i want to make a big portrait out of, something about that one just touches my heart! I love all these pics, but as I said SOMETHING in that shot just calls to me! Beautifull work Kathryn. I am WOWED!!! That made me very happy.

Finland

My first time to Finland, and it was very memorable. I went with my boyfriend (who is Finnish) and his two daughters. It made it more special seeing where he grew up and meeting his family. We spent four days at his family's summer home near a lake. Went picking wildflowers & came across these flowers in boots.

View from hammock where I spent many hours reading Stieg Larsson's, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. So appropriate since I was very close to Sweden. Great series of books. Highly recommended!

Even in Finland, I'm shooting maternity! Couple are well known actors in Finland.

Family Photography "The Magic of the Moment"

I just saw the rough cut of my family video, and AHA Image Studio http://www.ahaimagestudios.com/ has done an amazing job of capturing the fun experience of a family shoot. I really wanted my potential clients to see what goes on during a family shoot. This video captures it. Scott & Shelly (the owners of AHA Image Studio), spent so much time with me going over my vision for the video. Thank you AHA Image Studio for such a great experience. Sweet Baby

This image had been in my mind for a couple of months. I had ordered this contemporary background and discovered this knitted pouch to put a baby in. I found the perfect baby for this shoot, she was 12 days old. I added a flower headband and took the photo. Glad I got this peaceful sleeping image because she woke up right after taking it & started crying.

I love these candid moments with a father and his daughter. I took these images last Sunday. I have been photographing Natalie since she was a newborn. Now she is 18 months old. I love the ability to capture time and make it last forever. Natalie will always have these photographs of this moment with her Dad. I know she will always treasure this special time in her life.

Magical Weddings

I had the most amazing workshop with Rick Ferro, a legend in wedding photography. He created the wedding department @ Disney World. An entire day spent with Rick was like a dream come true. We had models dressed in gorgeous gowns, hair and makeup beautifully done. I learned so much about lighting and posing. How hand placement properly done can really enhanced an image. It was such an inspirational day for me. Here are some of my favorite photos that I took.

These photos were taken in Santa Ana at City Place. So many great backdrops to inspire us. It was a perfect over-cast day creating soft diffused light with only a silver reflector to bounce light on our bride's face. Love the red and white contrast.

Megan, High School Senior

This past Sunday, I had such a fun shoot with this lovely young woman. I love her leather jacket. It really gave the photos a very hip look. The yellow mustard flowers season is almost over but I was able to get the fabulous image of Megan wearing a yellow scarf, making the image of her look like a painting. She picked that photo for her wallets photos, and the above image for her graduation party announcement cards. What I like about shooting at my favorite park are the great backdrops, bridge, stone walls, and wooden fence.

Tips, wardrobe & more.....

The question I get asked time and again is what to wear? During the consultation, I discover what my client wants to convey, casual, fun or a more formal look. The most important thing will your portrait stand the test of time.

Solids vs prints. Keep it a solid color. Prints take a way from the subject. I like this deep color on this girl because it enhances her skin tone & hair.

There is an art to un-posing, I love this image of this family because you can feel their love & affection for each other. I want the relationship to be the real story.

Hair - The most important thing I say about hair is keep the style you're use to seeing on you. Get your hair cut or color at least a week before the photo session. Bring a brush or comb to the shoot. On location can be windy. Jewelry - do not wear anything that is distracting, especially big wrist watches, keep it simple & small.

Soka University is one of the most gorgeous campus that I have ever seen. It sits high on a hill above Wood Canyon in Aliso Viejo. I had the opportunity to photograph a family there this past Sunday. It is such a unique venue with many different backdrops. I did not even tap in to all that was available to me. It is a photographer's dream. Lovely! Ella is one year old, and she was a referral from one of my clients. I love referral! I have a referral program, one free 10x13, a $129 value, or one smaller portrait with a new session.

In post production, I pick my favorite images from the shoot & get creative. I knew the moment, I saw the image of Ella in the tutu with her head turned that it was perfection. The image by itself was great but I knew it could be something more. I backed off the color and put a frame around, giving it a vintage look. I submitted this image in the contest to win $5,000 (see March 3rd blog entry), plus I will be entering it in to Professional Photographers of America's yearly contest, it could be on their October issue front cover if it wins.

My Grandmother's name is Violet so it was nice to have a client that is going to name her baby girl Violette. From the English word violet for the purple flower, ultimately derived from Latin viola. It was common in Scotland from the 16th century, and it came into general use as an English given name during the 19th century. I love tidbits like that. In honor of Baby Violette, purple was a big influence in her maternity shoot. Her Mom and Dad were a lot of fun to work together creating these images.

I photographed Chloe last Sunday, and it was a very cold day. She never complained. We got some stunning images from this session.

The image of Chloe by the door reminds me of a little girl from the early 1900's.

This image I used a light off to the right side which created some wonderful lighting making it look like a painting. That is what I love about off camera lighting it gives the photograph a more dimensional look.

It has been over a month since my last blog. I have been so busy with 15 family portraits in the month of November! Here are some of my favorite photos of children that I took during the family shoots.

Love this adorable photograph of the boy and the ribbon wrapped around his Mom's tummy. His baby sister is due to arrive on 22nd of December. What a great Christmas gift.

Doors make for some fabulous backdrops with children. Especially huge doors. In most cases the children are not as tall as the door knob.

Special Moments @ Weddings

I have come full circle with this bride and groom, Cassandra & Dave, I photographed their maternity shoot in January and then the baby shoot in spring & wedding in September. Which made it more special for me because of the bond that we had developed. Dave got so use to me asking him to take his shirt off for the maternity and newborn shoot, that during his wedding, he said to me "why don't you ask me to take my shirt off now that is is blazing hot". It made me smile. I love capturing those special moments, showing the pure emotion of the day. Their wedding was simply lovely. They got married at Tivoli Terrace in Laguna Beach, it was such a great experience.

Dogs are beloved members of the family and deserve their place on the family wall. I have been encouraging all my families to include their dogs in the shoot.
This recent shoot is a couple, Joy & Brian and their dogs, Kooper (Beagle) and Wylee (Bishon / Yorkie Mix). After meeting with Joy, Brian, Kooper & Wylee, and seeing their home which is very contemporary, I suggested we do an Urban shoot. I highlighted them against some interesting backdrops, one was a red door which was very dramatic. Kooper & Wylee were the perfect models. Val was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and wanted to document this pivotal moment in her life. The photographs, I took of Val are some of my best work. She has the most soulful eyes, incredible bone structure and elegant hands. I really played with the light, moving it all around her during the shoot to focus on her eyes, face & hands. Valerie wrote to me after our shoot together, “I really appreciate you giving me the opportunity to do something empowering in a situation where I often feel very powerless.” The good news, Val is now a cancer survivor.

My niece, Brittany, came to visit me last month. She lives in Oregon. It was fun hanging out with her. I have always loved taking photographs of Britt because she is very photogenic. I once took a photograph of her blowing bubble gum and it popped on her face, and she somehow made it look adorable!!

These photographs were taken @ Victoria Beach in South Laguna. I used to live within walking distance of Victoria Beach, and it a special spot for me as I spent a lot of time there.

I love photographing children for their great expressions. Most of these images of Porter are candid. The image of him on the wooden rail I took from below and the tide was very high, and crashed in to me. I was soaked but it was worth it. Look at that expression on his face. Priceless.

One of the great things about the internet, I have a lot of people contact me from out of state that are coming to California & want a family portrait. Last week, I photographed a family from Kansas. The kids were so well behaved and eager to be photographed, it was a real treat for me. I had along on the shoot another photographer, Julie Taylor of OC Sweet Photo. It gives another dimension to the photography as Julie got some great photos of them not looking at the camera. I received a sweet e-mail from the Michelle, the Mother, ”My kids have said several times how much fun they had and, "What a nice lady you are". That is what photography should be all about having fun & having memories of their trip to California forever.

My parents were going through a divorce when I was a baby = no baby photographs taken of me. Every time, I take photographs of a baby, it gives me great satisfaction that they will have photographs of their babyhood.

These photographs are of Baby Ella Love. I just adore her middle name of Love! What a great affirmation, she will always have love in her life. My favorite photograph is the side profile of Ella Love. It looks like a painting. She is wearing a gown that has been in her family a very long time. Her Mother wore this gown as a baby. It makes the photographs even more special and timeless. She is also wearing her Mother's pearl necklace.

Before I do a shoot, I always visually how I want it to look. I talk to the client first to see what they’re looking to achieve in their shoot. In this case, Charlie’s Mom had been on my web site and loved the photograph of the baby in a tutu surrounded by flowers (the one that is the banner on my blog). I also had a new tutu that I wanted to use. I knew the flowers would be lost with the size of the tutu so I just had her sitting on white. I got up above Charlie and made some noise with a toy to get her to look up. This was one of my favorite images of Charlie. Photography is an art form and I started out with a good image but made it in to a greater image playing around with it. The first example is the original followed by different versions. I decided to put in more of the tutu to have baby Charlie immersed in a sea of pink. Charlie’s Mom really want to have one black and white image of Charlie but after changing this image to black and white, I decided to try just backing off the color a little bit and I came up with a very vintage look. That is where it gets exciting for me, when I saw this vintage look I knew that this was now a great photo. Charlie’s Mom was very happy with the result. She wrote me such a sweet e-mail “Thanks for all of your hard work creating these treasured memories for our family. We'll always remember her at this age!” That is the best part of my job is creating timeless photographs."

Wedding season is in full swing… we just did an engagement shoot of Diane and Jorge. They’re getting married on August 8th! I met Diane by chance as she was out trying to find a venue for their reception. It was meant to be that Ben and I photograph her wedding.

We had a fun engagement shoot at the Montage. Everything was picture perfect for this shoot, great light, no wind and lots of kisses… Very romantic.. as you can see from these photographs.

In Japan, on the 100th day after a child's birth, a small feast is prepared to promote a healthy appetite through the child’s life. Jun’s family was having that celebration the day I did the shoot. It was going to be later that evening with Jun’s Grandparents but they wanted me to captured this milestone. Jun looked so cute in his kimono.

It was a wonderful shoot; Jun was in a happy mood. Such a sweet baby!

One of the things I love about my job is the wonderful people I meet along my journey as a photographer, like Cameron. I met his Mother, Julie, through the South County Chamber of Commerce. When it came time to take some professional photographs of Cameron, Julie called me. I had met Cameron prior to our shoot, and I was impressed by his easy manner around adults. During the shoot, he was so comfortable in front of the camera. We did the shoot at the park to take advantage of the many different backdrops. I love photographing outside and using natural light.

This photo shoot was so much fun. Baby Koa was very alert, not fussy and very photogenic. We listened to music during our shoot and Koa’s Mom, Tara, had made all this food for us to snack on. Road Trip

During Easter week, I went on a road trip along with my fabulous boyfriend, Mikko. We drove to San Luis Obispo and spent our first night @ the unique Madonna Inn http://www.madonnainn.com/ and stayed in one of the rock rooms. I loved the bathroom with it awesome rock shower. This was our first getaway as a couple and the Madonna Inn was steeped full of romance. We started out with champagne in our room, then dinner at the over-the-top steakhouse and dancing. It was very memorable. The next day we continued on to Hearst Castle. I had not been in years; it was a real treat to tour it again.

This was Mikko’s first time to drive along Coast Highway, Big Sur to San Francisco so we stopped along the way to savior the many vistas. Then we arrived in San Francisco which has special meaning to me as I was born there. We stayed there for 3 days. Since I have been many times, and Mikko only once, I took over as the tour guide. We walked across the Golden Gate Bridge twice, and of course I had to take him to Muir Woods where we hiked amongst the redwoods breathing in the freshest air

We spent our days and nights exploring the city by the bay, and enjoying each other company. It was just the most special getaway because I shared it with someone that means so much to me.

Nostalgic Childhood - Gone Fishing

This is my second time photographing this adorable little boy. His mother is a writer, and last October she asked me to do the photography for an article she was writing for OC Kids. He was one of our models. He is very sweet in nature and a pleasure to photograph. This shoot is part of my nostalgic children portraiture. He was thrilled to get his hands on a fishing rod. He looks like he is ready to catch the big one!

The last three years, I have called Aliso Viejo home. I love living here, this city has so many wonderful things to offer. Soka University with its jazz nights, incredible grounds that look like you're in Tuscany, the Renaissance Clubsport Hotel with fabulous variety of classes, like Yoga tone, Brazilian Boot Camp, etc. they even have a spa for pampering me and a great restaurant and it is a hotel, too! We have a gorgeous Country Club that is opened to the public for golfing and other amenities. We are going to have a Performing Art Center. I'm a member of the Aliso Viejo Chamber of Commerce. I get to meet so many incredible people in my community and one guy that stands out is Doug Healy who decided that our teens needed a place to hang out. South County Teen Center http://www.scteencenter.com/ provides a variety of supportive programs, including before and after school activities, that help young teens develop strength of character a sense of community, and build a voice. This Monday, March 30th will be their first Annual Golf Classic at the Aliso Viejo Golf course. I'm proud to be apart of this special event providing the photography.

In the last two weeks, I have photographed three baby boys!! This is baby Ethan. I had photographed his Mom and Dad back in January (See blog entry....January 7, 2009). I'm in the middle of post-production from that shoot. I just love this image of Ethan and his Mother so much. It is so sweet and tender. I have so many more post production to work on plus two shoots this weekend. Lots of juggling. Will try to blog more soon.

I may have posted this news in one of my blogs that my photography was going to be featured @ Beach Cities Midwifery/Women' Health Center http://www.beachcitiesmidwifery.com/ opening up in Laguna Hills in January. They did open up and they have seven of my images on their walls. Plus they have been giving out my packages to expectant Moms.

The first baby was born at the new center on January 31st, a baby girl, Natalie. This past Friday, I had the pleasure of photographing this adorable baby at her home.

I had gotten a tag printed up many months ago with “Special Delivery” on it. Last month, I found the perfect basket to use with it. My vision finally came together. That is a good feeling.

I also put Natalie in a bowl. She will never be this small again. Natalie was a real trooper letting me put her in a basket and a bowl!! She is on my Baby Plan, my next shoot with Natalie will be during her seventh month.

Last night, I went to Twitter 101 class to learn how to use this social networking that is the in thing. It is almost 5:00 in the morning and I just signed up on Twitter. Twitter is life in real time. You can follow people and see what they're up to at any given moment. You can have people following you, too! I already have a follower!!! I am following some of my friends and a photographer that I admire. I just added Twitter on my Blog so you can follow me in real time!!
